When a credit limit or quote field changes unexpectedly, your support rep should not spend 20 minutes scrolling through 50 chatter entries to find the one edit that matters. The Form Field Change Timeline Widget places a compact history panel directly beside the field on the record, showing who changed it, when, the old value, and the new value — without opening chatter, without switching tabs.

Setup takes two lines of XML. Drop the widget tag onto any tracked field in your view XML and the panel appears on that record automatically. From the Settings panel you control how many entries show per field and toggle the widget on or off per model, so you only add it where it earns its place.

Support reps confirm whether a field was manually overridden in under 10 seconds without leaving the form. Developers verify that an automated action fired at the right moment without opening a debug log. Admins catch accidental edits on critical config records during monthly reviews before errors ripple downstream.

The widget reads from Odoo's existing field tracking data — no new log tables, no schema changes, no extra setup if tracking is already on. Works on Odoo 16, 17, 18, and 19.
