Your AP clerk photographs a vendor invoice with her phone, emails it to Odoo, and walks away. Three seconds later the bill appears in Odoo with vendor name, invoice date, and total amount already filled. No manual typing. No squinting at PDFs. No 'I'll do it later' pile on her desk.

This addon connects free OCR engines (Tesseract via third-party APIs) to your account.move form. Attach an image or PDF of any vendor bill and the system reads the document, extracts structured data, and populates the key fields. Works with English-language invoices in standard layouts—utility bills, supplier statements, service invoices.

Small teams processing 20-50 bills a month save 45 minutes per week. One user reported cutting bill-entry time from 8 minutes to under 90 seconds per document. Install it, upload a test invoice, and watch the fields populate.
